A great deal of research has gone into making this bracelet a quality product with useful features.
The paracord used in this bracelet is real paracord, made in the USA. You can find lots of cordage at a hardware store posing as paracord. Most of it is not real paracord. You have only to read the package and check the working weight rating.
We use a single 10' piece of paracord. Some other bracelets like the multi-colored ones use multiple shorter pieces of paracord which are melted together. Ultimately two 5' pieces of paracord are less useful than one 10' piece.
Quick, it's an emergency! The knot we use in our paracord bracelets is different from the knots you will see in most paracord bracelets. Most bracelets are made using a standard square knot. It takes two to three minutes to untie a bracelet made with this knot. Our bracelets are made with a quick-release knot. It takes about 30 seconds to undo our bracelets and come up with 10' of usable paracord.
It will spark more than your imagination. We use buckles with a flint and steel fire sparker built in. The ability to make fire is one of man's most powerful discoveries, it could even save your life. Now, you can carry it on your wrist.
If you need me, just whistle. One of the best ways to attract attention when you need help is to whistle. You can lose your breath shouting for help, but as long as you can breath, you can whistle. This is another life-saving feature built right in to this bracelet.
The compass on this bracelet is a simple bubble compass and as such is not necessarily accurate and should not be used for orienteering or where lives are at stake. We are currently searching for a buckle with a more accurate compass built-in.
